Our story

Trustestate was founded with a simple belief: dealing with probate shouldn't be the hardest part of losing a loved one.

When someone dies, families are often asked to navigate unfamiliar legal processes, liaise with many financial institutions and prepare lots of paperwork at one of the most difficult times in their lives. We believed families deserved something better. Something clearer, more transparent and more human.

Our goal was never to replace empathy with technology. It was to use technology to make expert guidance more accessible, to simplify a complex process and to give families greater clarity and confidence during one of life's most difficult moments.

That belief became Trustestate.

What we built

Between 2023 and 2026, we worked with hundreds of families across England and Wales, helping them navigate probate with clear guidance, transparent pricing and personal support.

As we grew, we continually refined our service based on feedback from the people who mattered most, our clients. Every conversation, every question and every estate we helped administer taught us something new about what families truly need during bereavement.

Along the way we collaborated with financial advisers, legal professionals and industry partners who shared our ambition of improving how bereaved families are supported.

While we didn't solve every problem within the probate system, we're proud to have made a difficult process a little easier for the people who trusted us.

The people we helped

The most meaningful measure of Trustestate was never the number of clients we acted for.

It was the families who told us they felt less overwhelmed.

It was the people who said they finally understood what came next.

It was knowing that, during one of the hardest periods of their lives, we were able to remove uncertainty and shoulder some of the burden.

We're honoured that many of our customers were willing to share their experiences, and we're grateful for every kind word we received from them.

A difficult decision

In 2026, following serious ill health within our team, we made the difficult decision to close Trustestate.

This decision was not taken lightly, but we believe it was the right one in the best interests of our clients, given the circumstances.

Thank you

To every client who trusted us during one of the most difficult periods of their life.

To our investors who believed in our mission.

To every adviser, solicitor and partner who supported us.

To everyone who encouraged us, challenged us and played a part in what we were building.

Thank you.

Trustestate may no longer be operating, but we hope the small part we played in making probate more understandable, more transparent and more human leaves a lasting impact.

It was a privilege to serve you.
